Strata (Coarse) is an installation created at 'The Bank' in Matfield Green Kansas during an artist residency at the Tallgrass Prairie using the endemic limestone that forms the geologic strata in the Flint Hills of Kansas. The stratification of the local geology is consistently seen in vernacular architecture throughout the area and provides the local landscape with a particular resonance.
