Ice Negative, an installation on Brush Lake in South Dakota, consisted of a large negative cut into the ice using traditional methods originating from the proliferation of ice fishing in the area. The ephemeral cut was altered by an ensuing blizzard and a a result a scar was left as a remnant of the act of slicing a mediating fissure between water and sky.
